Adam Montgomery is a Scottish left-back, born on 18 July 2002 (age 24), whose senior career has carried an early Celtic connection. He joined Celtic from Aberdeen in June 2022, arriving at a point when his game was still being shaped rather than settled.
His Celtic record includes two Premiership titles and one League Cup, along with a Premiership runners-up finish. His own route, though, has been more about loan football and steady development than a clean run in the first team.
The most productive league spell came at Queen’s Park in 2024–25, where he made 12 appearances and scored once. That is modest enough, but useful for a young player operating mainly from left-back.
Montgomery remains a Celtic player and is currently on loan at Livingston. In 2026–27 he has made two Championship appearances, with his form steady, consistent and unspectacular. His career to this point is a practical one: Celtic honours on the record, loan minutes elsewhere, and more football still to be gathered.
