Adam Montgomery, born on 18 July 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish left-back on Celtic’s books. He joined Celtic from Aberdeen in June 2022, giving him an early connection with the club before much of his senior football was gathered elsewhere.
His Celtic spell has not been a straight run of first-team football. He has been part of a squad that won two Premiership titles and a League Cup, but his own development has leaned heavily on time away from Glasgow. His most productive league season came at Queen’s Park in 2024-25, when he scored once in 12 appearances.
In 2025-26, Montgomery made eight league appearances on loan at Livingston. He remains listed as a Celtic left-back, wearing squad number 54, but his career so far has been shaped more by loans and the search for regular minutes than by an established place at Celtic Park.
