Alexander Briedl

Alexander Briedl of Aberdeen was born in Salzburg, Austria on 21 April 2002 (age 24).

Alexander Briedl, born on 21 April 2002 (age 24), is an Austrian central defensive midfielder now with Aberdeen. His career to date is shaped far more by Blau-Weiss Linz than by anything either side of it.

Across four seasons with Blau-Weiss Linz, Briedl made 93 league appearances and scored three league goals. His busiest and most productive league campaign there came in 2023-24, when he played 22 league matches and scored once. That spell gave him the bulk of his senior football and remains the main body of evidence on him.

At Aberdeen in 2026-27, he has made five league appearances and four in the League Cup, giving him nine appearances in all competitions. It is still a smaller chapter beside his Linz years, but it places him in Scottish football as a tidy, developing midfielder with a solid professional base behind him.
