Alphonso Davies, born on 2 November 2000 (age 25), is a Canada international left-back whose senior career began at Vancouver Whitecaps. His 2018 league season there remains his most productive in front of goal, with eight goals in 31 appearances, and it helped push him towards the move that has shaped the rest of his career.
At Bayern Munich, Davies has become a long-serving first-team player rather than just a quick development story. Across eight seasons he has made 167 league appearances and scored 10 league goals, operating primarily from left-back and wearing the No. 19 shirt. His current market value is around £42.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He remains part of the Bayern side in 2025-26, with 13 Bundesliga appearances and one league goal, as well as eight Champions League appearances. In all competitions for Bayern this season, he has made 21 appearances and scored once.
Davies’ career is now firmly centred on Bayern Munich, where he has moved from high-profile signing to established regular. Vancouver was the launchpad, but Bayern is where the bulk and substance of his senior football has been played.
