Andreas Schjelderup, born on 1 June 2004 (age 22), is a Norwegian left winger with Benfica, where he wears number 21. His career has not been a neat Benfica story, whatever the badge says now. The serious body of work was built at FC Nordsjaelland.
In Denmark he found the minutes and responsibility young wide players need but are not always granted. Across four seasons with Nordsjaelland, including a loan return that mattered to his development, he made 81 league appearances and scored 26 league goals. His sharpest league run came in 2022–23, with 10 goals in 17 appearances.
Benfica remains his current platform rather than the place that has yet outweighed that Danish spell. In 2026–27 he has stayed involved in the first-team picture, making 10 appearances and scoring two goals across Liga Portugal and Europa League qualifying. That is regular use rather than decoration, though the real test is turning those minutes into a firmer role.
