Beau Reus, born on 30 October 2001 (age 25), is a Dutch goalkeeper with the sort of frame clubs tend to notice early. At 6ft 6in (1.98m), he is an imposing presence, and his senior career began in the Netherlands with Jong AZ, where he made 15 league appearances in the 2020-21 season.
His career is shaped far more by Beveren than by any early stop. Over four seasons there, Reus made 121 league appearances, establishing himself as a regular first-team goalkeeper rather than another tall keeper passing through the system. That spell gave him the substance on his CV.
He later moved to Hearts, taking the number 1 shirt. In 2026-27, he has made 11 league appearances, along with three in the League Cup, one in Europa League qualifying, two in Conference League qualifying and two in the Conference League itself, giving him 19 Hearts appearances across all competitions.
Reus’s career has run from Jong AZ to a long, defining spell at Beveren and then on to Hearts. For now, he is best understood as a goalkeeper whose main body of work was built in Belgium before his move into Scottish football.
