Christian Borchgrevink (born 11 May 1999, age 27) is a Norwegian right-back with Hearts, where he wears the number 2 shirt. His current market value is around £383,000, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career is rooted far more in Valerenga than anywhere else. Early loan spells helped move him from prospect to first-team footballer, but it was at Valerenga that he built his proper body of work: 83 league appearances and six league goals across seven seasons.
His strongest league return came in 2021, when he scored three times in 24 appearances. For a full-back, that was a useful attacking contribution rather than anything needing dressed up as reinvention.
At Hearts in 2026–27, Borchgrevink has made four league appearances, along with two League Cup appearances, one Champions League qualifier and one Conference League qualifier. Across all competitions for the Edinburgh club, he has played eight times and scored once.
Borchgrevink’s career to this point is that of a Norwegian full-back shaped mainly by a long Valerenga spell, with Hearts now the next stage rather than the club that has yet to define him.
