Connor Barron, born on 29 August 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish central midfielder whose senior career has moved from Aberdeen to Rangers.
He made his name at Aberdeen, where his busiest attacking return in the league came in 2022-23: one goal in 17 appearances. That tells its own story. Barron’s game has not been built around scoring, but around getting through midfield work and staying involved.
At Rangers, he remains a regular first-team presence in 2025-26. He has made 27 league appearances without scoring, along with two Champions League qualifying appearances and six in the Europa League, taking him to 35 appearances across all competitions for the season.
Barron is still a developing midfielder, but he is no fringe case at Ibrox. His career so far has been shaped by steady first-team involvement at Aberdeen and continued use at Rangers, rather than headline numbers.
