Connor Ronan, born on 6 March 1998 (age 28), is a Republic of Ireland midfielder now with Aberdeen. A central midfielder by trade, he has spent much of his senior career taking the practical route: minutes where he could find them, responsibility where it was offered, and enough movement to suggest a player still trying to pin down the right level and setting.
The spell that most clearly pushed him on came at St Mirren in 2021-22. Ronan scored seven goals in 27 league appearances, the most productive league season of his career, and showed more than just neatness in possession. For a midfielder who had needed loan football to build rhythm, that was the period when the work started to look properly useful.
At Aberdeen in 2026-27, Ronan has made eight league appearances and scored two league goals. He has also played six times in the League Cup, taking him to 14 appearances and two goals for the club across all competitions. His career so far has been that of a tidy, established professional midfielder, shaped as much by loan spells and steady adaptation as by any single breakthrough.
