Cristian Montaño, born on 11 December 1991 (age 34), is a Colombian left-sided player whose career has been shaped as much by graft as by any great fuss around him.
His early loan spell at Notts County in 2011-12 was a useful marker in his development. He scored four goals in 15 league appearances there, still the most productive league season of his career, and showed enough attacking edge from the left to suggest there was a player worth persisting with.
Montaño has since been part of the picture at Livingston, primarily as a left-back. In 2026-27, he has made five Championship appearances, along with two League Cup outings and one in the Scottish Cup, taking him to eight appearances in all competitions for the club.
His current market value is around £85,000, according to Transfermarkt. It is a career built on steady service rather than noise, with that Notts County spell standing out as an early sign of what he could offer from the left side.
