What we have here is none other than Danilo Pereira da Silva, a Brazilian-born forward, whose main position on the pitch is as a striker for Rangers. Born on the ever so lovely day of 7 April 1999, which makes him a ripe old age of 26. Typically, he's seen sporting the number 99 jersey. Physically, he's not exactly towering over everyone, standing at a canny 5ft 8in (1.74m), and keeping a somewhat modest weight about him, tipping the scales at 11st 9lb (74kg).
Our lad Danilo began his international wanderings in August 2017 when he decided to pack his bags and leave Santos in Brazil, transferring to the Eredivisie's Ajax in the Netherlands for a fee that was apparently worth about £1.8m. According to his form during the 2019 - 2020 season at Ajax, he only managed to appear in one first team match. The 2021 - 2022 season wasn't much different either, except this time around he matched his 13 first team appearances with two goals.
In August 2020, our roaming Brazilian embarked on another journey, joining FC Twente on loan. His time there seemed to be a bit more fruitful, as he made 33 first team appearances and scored a rather impressive 17 goals in the 2020 - 2021 season.
After his temporary stay, Danilo trotted back to Ajax when his loan ended in June 2021. His impact there was largely similar to his previous stint with Ajax, making few appearances and scoring a couple of goals.
Clearly not content with staying put, Danilo took another leap in July 2022 and transferred to Feyenoord in the Eredivisie. His performance somewhat dipped, with 34 first team appearances and ten goals for the 2022 - 2023 season.
July 2023 saw the globe-trotting striker moving to Rangers on the Scottish Premiership for a fairly handsome sum of £6m. He’s been rather subdued in his performances, making a few appearances and scoring a handful of goals over his existing seasons. His current Rangers run for the 2025 - 2026 season sees him make five first team appearances and manage to squeeze in two goals.
It's also worth mentioning that Danilo's sporting footprints extend to various other competitions. He’s profiled his talent in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Rangers, the Europa League 2023 - 2024 and 2025 - 2026, and the Champions League Qualifiers 2025 - 2026.
There you have it, a brief romp through the tumultuous career of Danilo Pereira da Silva. One must admit, it's been quite the journey.
