Donyell Malen (born 19 January 1999, age 27) is a Dutch forward who now plays mainly from the right for Roma, wearing the number 14 shirt. His current market value is around £24m, according to Transfermarkt.
His sharpest league return came at PSV in 2020-21, when he scored 19 goals in 32 appearances. That season remains the obvious reference point in his career: productive, direct, and hard to ignore without requiring any great mystery to explain it.
At Roma in 2026-27, Malen has started in unusually clean goalscoring form. He has made eight appearances in all competitions and scored eight goals, including six in six Serie A matches and two in two Champions League appearances.
He has also remained involved with the Netherlands, making three World Cup appearances and seven World Cup qualifying appearances, with four goals in the qualifiers. His career to this point is that of an established Dutch attacker with a strong PSV season behind him and a productive spell underway in Italy.
