Donyell Malen, born on 19 January 1999 (age 27), is a Netherlands international right winger with Roma, where he wears number 14. His current market value is around £24m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most productive league campaign came at PSV in 2020-21, when he scored 19 goals in 32 appearances. That season remains the clearest marker of his attacking output: direct, quick enough to trouble full-backs, and capable of finishing rather than merely decorating moves.
At Roma in 2026-27, his return has been sharp. He has made nine appearances in all competitions and scored seven goals, including three in one Serie A appearance and four across eight Europa League matches. It is a small sample, but a useful one.
He has also been active with the Netherlands this season, making three World Cup appearances and seven in European World Cup qualifying, with four goals in the qualifiers. Malen’s career to this point is that of an established attacking player: productive at PSV, now adding goals for Roma, and still part of the Dutch international picture.
