Emil Krafth

Emil Krafth, born on the 2nd of August 1994 and now aged 30, hails from Sweden. A defender by trade, he primarily serves on the field as a right back for Newcastle United. He is also of considerable stature, standing 6ft tall (1.84m) and weighing 13st (83kg). Krafth, garbed in the number 17 jersey for Newcastle, has also had the honour of representing his home country, Sweden, in international matches. Krafth cut his professional teeth in Sweden's Osters IF in 2011, making 24 first-team appearances in his debut season. The nature of football sees players often on the move and Krafth was no exception, transferring to Helsingborgs IF where he showcased a rather consistent performance from 2012 to 2015. In these three seasons, Krafth hit the pitch 76 times and even finding the back of the net thrice. In 2015, Krafth packed his bags and travelled south to Italy, signing with Bologna. He participated in a total of 42 games across three seasons for the Italian side. Opportunity called again in 2018, and Krafth moved to France's Amiens. His performance was noteworthy, making 35 first team appearances and even adding a goal to his tally. As of 2019, Krafth has been in the service of English Premier League side Newcastle United, where he continues to play. In the period spanning from 2019 to the ongoing season of 2024-2025, he has made a notable 82 first-team appearances and scored a solitary goal. He is on the team list for the forthcoming 2025-2026 season. Besides his regular league duties, Krafth has also represented Newcastle United in the FA Cup 2024-2025, contributing one start, and in the League Cup 2024-2025 with three starts plus two additional appearances as a substitute. Besides club football, he has upheld his national allegiance, participating in the Euro Qualifiers 2022-2024 and the Nations League 2024-2025 for Sweden, where in both tournaments he contributed with one start and one off-the-bench appearance each.
