Ewan Wilson is a Scottish left-back, born on 19 November 2004 (age 21), who has been building his senior career at Motherwell. He wears squad number 23 and is valued at around £510,000, according to Transfermarkt.
His strongest league campaign so far came in 2024-2025, when he made 31 appearances for Motherwell and scored once. That gave him a proper run in senior football rather than the usual handful of minutes that can tell you very little about a young defender.
In 2026-2027, Wilson has made two league appearances, along with one in the League Cup, one in the Scottish Cup and five in Conference League qualifiers. Across all competitions for Motherwell this season, he has made nine appearances.
His form has been steady if unspectacular, though he has been out of the matchday squad in recent weeks. His last appearance came in Motherwell’s 0-0 draw with Falkirk on 9 August 2026.
Wilson remains a developing Scottish full-back with a decent body of Motherwell appearances behind him. His career to this point has been shaped by regular first-team exposure and the task now is to turn that into something more settled.
