Fotis Ioannidis, born on 10 January 2000 (age 26), is a Greece international striker now with Sporting CP, where he wears squad number 89. His career, though, has been shaped above all by Panathinaikos.
Across five seasons with Panathinaikos, Ioannidis made 139 league appearances and scored 36 league goals. His strongest domestic return came in 2023–24, when he scored 15 times in 28 league games, a season that gave proper weight to his role as more than just a regular centre-forward.
By 2025–26 he was at Sporting CP and still involved rather than parked on the edges. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese club, scoring three goals, with 13 of those appearances coming in Liga Portugal and five in the Champions League.
He has also remained part of the Greece set-up, making four appearances in European World Cup qualifying this season. The shape of his career is clear enough: Panathinaikos gave him the bulk of his senior football, while Sporting CP now has him as a continuing first-team option.
