Gustaf Lagerbielke, born in Stockholm on 10 April 2000 (age 26), is a Swedish central defender now with SC Braga. A commanding 6ft 3in (1.91m), he came through in Sweden and had his most productive league season at Degerfors IF in 2022, scoring three times in 14 appearances.
His move to IF Elfsborg put him on Celtic’s radar, and he joined the club in August 2023 for around £3m. Lagerbielke’s time in Glasgow was not especially long, but it did bring a Scottish Cup win, which is more than a footnote even if his Celtic spell never quite settled into something more substantial.
He left Celtic in July 2025, joining SC Braga for around £2m. His market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
At Braga, where he wears number four, Lagerbielke has made eight appearances across all competitions in 2026-27, including five in Liga Portugal and three in Conference League qualifying. He has also been involved with Sweden, making four World Cup appearances and six in European World Cup qualifying, with one goal.
His career has taken him from Sweden to Celtic and on to Portugal, with a short but tangible spell in Glasgow and a Scottish Cup medal from his time at the club.
