Hugo Álvarez, born on 2 July 2003 (age 23), is a Spanish right-sided attacker whose senior career has been shaped almost entirely at Celta Vigo. Wearing squad number 23, he has become a regular part of their first-team picture rather than a passing academy curiosity.
Across five league seasons with Celta, Álvarez has made 76 league appearances and scored nine league goals. His best return came in 2024–25, when he scored four times in 26 league matches, a useful step for a wide player still working through the early part of his career.
In 2026–27, he has made nine LaLiga appearances and also featured three times in the Europa League, scoring once. His career remains centred on Celta Vigo: 12 appearances and one goal across all competitions that season, and a broader record that points to steady development at one club rather than a scattered route around Spain.
