Hyunjun Yang, taking breath first on 25 May 2002, hails from the Republic of Korea and currently fills the position of a forward for Celtic. Mostly seen grazing the area of the pitch as a right winger, Yang measures at a height of 5ft 10in (1.79m) and weighs 10st 12lb (69kg). The number 13 jersey is his chosen attire on the field. Beyond club duties, Yang also flies the flag for his native country, participating in games for the Korea Republic national team.

The early threads of Yang's career saw him join forces with Gangwon FC in the K League 1 in his homeland, Korea Republic, in January of 2021. There, he set the ball rolling on his professional career, accruing a modest nine first team appearances in league matches in his debut season. The seasons that trailed saw Yang bed into the squad, amassing a tally of 36 first team appearances and aiding the score line with eight goals in 2022, and following with 21 appearances secured in 2023, also contributing a singular goal.
It was not until July of 2023 that the call of the Scottish Premiership, in the form of Celtic, caught the ear of Yang. Parting with Gangwon FC, the transition cost Celtic a fairly slight sum of around £2.2m. The rest, as we fans know, is cherished history.
In Yang's first Scottish season (2023-2024), he stamped 24 appearances on his card for Celtic and scored once in league matches. The following season (2024-2025), Yang continued to emerge as a valuable asset, earning another 23 first team appearances and finding the back of the net five times in league matches. The current season (2025-2026) has already seen Yang clock up 23 first team appearances and contribute six goals in league matches.
Beyond his league contributions, Yang also bore the honour of donning the Celtic green in the League Cup 2025-2026, scoring once across one start and two substitute appearances. He also participated in the Scottish Cup 2025-2026, with two starts to his name. The World Cup Qualifiers Asia 2024-2026 saw Yang represent the Korea Republic with three appearances as a substitute. On the European front, the UEFA's Champions League Qualifiers 2025-2026 hosted Yang for one start and one substitute appearance for Celtic, and the Europa League 2025-2026 saw him start six times and come on once as a substitute, also scoring once for Celtic.
