Jacob Chapman, born on 22 October 2000 (age 26), is an Australian goalkeeper whose senior career has been shaped far more by St Mirren than by any of his earlier stops.
His league record before Paisley was slight, with two appearances for Salford City in 2022-23 standing as the main senior marker from that period. There is little need to dress that up. For a goalkeeper, the route is often narrow and patience is usually part of the job.
At St Mirren, Chapman has had his clearest run. Wearing the No 1 shirt, he has made 11 league appearances in 2026-27, along with five in the League Cup. That gives him 16 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Chapman’s career to this point is a compact one: an Australian goalkeeper with limited senior league football before St Mirren, where he has found his most substantial first-team spell.
