Jake Girdwood-Reich

Jake Girdwood-Reich of Motherwell was born in Sydney, Australia on 26 May 2004 (age 22).

Jake Girdwood-Reich, born on 26 May 2004 (age 22), is an Australian central defender with Motherwell. He wears the number 3 shirt and has already built up a reasonable body of senior football for a player still early in his career.

His first substantial league campaign came with Sydney FC in 2023-24, when he made 23 appearances and scored once. That remains his fullest season so far, and it gave him the sort of grounding defenders usually need before anyone gets too excited about them.

At Motherwell in 2026-27, he has made 10 league appearances, along with one in the League Cup and six in Conference League qualifiers. That takes him to 17 appearances for the club across all competitions, a solid enough platform as he works through the next stage of his career.
