Jayden Richardson was born on 4 September 2000 in England. Now at the age of 25, Richardson is widely known in the world of football as a right back defender. His physical prowess is striking, standing at a solid 6ft (1.84m) and weighing in at 11st 11lb (75kg). He is currently at St Mirren, proudly sporting the number 2 jersey.
According to Transfermarkt, Richardson commands a market value of around £300k.
Richardson's professional football career took off in July 2017 when he joined Nottingham Forest in the Premier League as a trainee. He remained under the radar in his debut season 2021-2022, making only two first team appearances.
He was then loaned to Exeter City in August 2019 and returned back to Nottingham Forest in June 2020 after the completion of his loan period. However, his second stint at Nottingham Forest did not seem to fare much better than the first one, as the season again saw him making only two first team appearances.
In an effort to gain more experience, Richardson transferred to Forest Green Rovers on loan in September 2020. After a year, he returned back to Nottingham Forest in June 2021 for the season 2021-2022, again replicating his past performance of two appearances.
In December 2021, he had a short tenure with Notts County on loan. The following summer in July 2022 saw Richardson making a decisive move to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership for an undisclosed fee. This turned out to be a more successful period, evidenced by his 19 appearances in the league matches for the 2022-2023 season.
Despite this, he was then loaned to Stockport County in July 2023 and subsequently to Colchester United in January 2024. Richardson returned to Aberdeen from his loan in June 2024 and repeated his previous performance with 19 league match appearances in the season.
However, in September 2024, Richardson transferred from Aberdeen to Boreham Wood in the National League in England where he spent only a year before moving to St Mirren in the Premiership in Scotland in July 2025.
He seemed to pull out all the stops at St Mirren, where Richardson made 30 first team appearances in league matches as of the current season 2025-2026. He also has shown an impressive performance at the League Cup 2025-2026 scoring three goals in six starts and two appearances as a substitute. Furthermore, he marked his presence in the Scottish Cup 2025-2026 with three starts and one appearance as a substitute playing for St Mirren.
