Jeyland Mitchell, born on 29 September 2004 (age 21), is a Costa Rica central defender now with Strasbourg. His market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career so far has been shaped mainly at Sturm Graz, where he made 21 league appearances across two seasons. The bulk of that came in 2025-26, when he played 19 league matches and scored once, giving him a foothold at a decent European level without any need to dress it up beyond that.
In 2026-27 he made two further league appearances for Sturm Graz before moving on to Strasbourg, where he has since made three league appearances. He has also been involved with Costa Rica this season, playing three World Cup qualifiers and scoring once, as well as featuring three times at the Gold Cup.
Mitchell’s career remains at an early stage, but its shape is clear enough: developed through Sturm Graz, now testing himself at Strasbourg, with regular involvement for Costa Rica adding useful substance to the profile.
