Jeyland Mitchell is a Costa Rican central defender, born on 29 September 2004 (age 22), now with Strasbourg. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His career to this point is shaped mainly by Sturm Graz. Across two seasons there, he made 21 league appearances and scored once, with the bulk of that work coming in 2025-2026, when he played 19 league matches and got his league goal.
In 2026-2027, Mitchell made two league appearances for Sturm Graz before moving on to Strasbourg, where he has added seven league appearances. He has also been involved with Costa Rica, featuring in three World Cup qualifiers in North and Central America, scoring once, and making three Gold Cup appearances.
It is still an early senior career, but the outline is clear enough: a Costa Rican defender whose first proper body of work came at Sturm Graz, followed by a move into French football with Strasbourg.
