Junior Adamu is an Austrian striker, born on 6 June 2001 (age 24), who joined Celtic from Freiburg in February 2026. His current market value is around £3.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most productive league season came early, with FC Liefering in 2019-20, when he scored 14 goals in 20 appearances. That remains the clearest statistical marker in his career so far, and the sort of return that tends to keep a striker in circulation even when later spells are less tidy.
The 2025-26 season has been split between Freiburg and Celtic. He made nine league appearances and scored once on loan at Freiburg, before moving to Celtic in February. Since arriving in Glasgow, he has made four league appearances without scoring.
His form this season has been solid rather than spectacular, though he has recently been out of the matchday squad. His last appearance came in Celtic’s 2-0 defeat at Dundee United on 22 March 2026.
Adamu’s career so far is that of a developing striker with one strong scoring season behind him, a Freiburg spell, and a new attempt to establish himself at Celtic. At this stage, the next part is still fairly open.
