Born in South Africa on 7th June 1998, Keanu Baccus is an experienced central midfielder currently playing for St Mirren. At 5ft 9in (1.76m) and 10st 7lb (67kg), he has proven himself as a solid presence in the middle of the park, donning the number 25 shirt. Apart from his club career, Baccus has also had the privilege of representing the Australia U23 national team.
With a current market value of around β¬700k, which converts to roughly Β£600k when we account for the more familiar currency, it's clear that Baccus is no insignificant player in the world of football. This figure is according to Transfermarkt.
Baccus's professional career took off in July 2014 when he joined Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League in Australia as a trainee. The following years saw him cementing his place in the first team, steadily increasing his appearances and finding the back of the net on several occasions. His performances attracted attention from afar, resulting in a transfer in July 2022 to St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.
During his time at St Mirren, Baccus made significant contributions on the pitch, with numerous league appearances and goals. His performances during the 2022 - 2023 and 2023 - 2024 seasons, in particular, showcased his consistency and ability to deliver when it mattered.
However, Baccus's journey took a brief detour in July 2024 when he moved from St Mirren to Mansfield Town in England's League One. This spell was short-lived, as a year later, in August 2025, Baccus was on the move again, this time returning to his former club St Mirren for an undisclosed fee. Since then, Baccus has continued to perform consistently, making a string of appearances and dispatching goals during the 2025 - 2026 season.
Apart from his league participations, he has also taken to the field in the 2025 - 2026 League Cup and Scottish Cup for St Mirren, adding more feathers to his cap.
