Born on the 10th of August, 1995, Lawrence Shankland is a Scottish national, currently playing as a striker for Hearts. He stands 6ft tall and weighs 12st 1lb. Shankland's career began at Queen's Park in 2012, where he made 33 first team appearances and scored 10 goals in his debut season. In 2013, he transferred from Queen's Park to Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee, where he made 17 first team appearances in the 2014-2015 season.
Shankland was loaned to Dunfermline Athletic in January 2014, where he showcased his scoring ability, netting seven goals in just 13 first team appearances. He returned to Aberdeen in May of the same year, following the completion of his loan.

In August 2021, Shankland left Scottish football for the Belgian Challenger Pro League, transferring to Beerschot for a fee of around £1.1m. He made 26 first team appearances and scored five goals in league matches before transferring back to Scottish football with Hearts in July 2022 for an undisclosed fee.
Shankland's performances at Hearts have been noteworthy. Over the span of three seasons, he has scored 56 goals in 106 first team appearances. In the current 2025 - 2026 season, he has already scored 11 goals in 21 first team appearances. He has also represented Hearts in the League Cup 2025 - 2026, scoring three goals in four starts and showed his worth in the Scottish Cup 2025 - 2026, scoring once in his only start.
