Lyall Cameron, our bonnie lad born on 10th October 2002, hails from our own lands of Scotland. At the tender age of 23, he's already made quite a name for himself in the world of football, showcasing his talents primarily as a central attacking midfielder for Aberdeen. With a modest height of 5ft 10in (or 1.8m for those favouring the metric system) and clocking in at 11st 9lb (or 74kg for the rest of the world), he's your average lad, but with an above-average talent for football. And like a wee kid in a sweetie shop, he proudly struts about in his number 25 jersey.
As for Cameron's financial worth, well, it's not the lottery, but his market value does hover around a respectable £1.3m, according to Transfermarkt.
His footballing journey began at Dundee as a trainee back in July 2017. Over three seasons - 2022 to 2025 - at Dundee, Cameron had a wee run of impressive form, making 91 first team appearances and netting a total of 22 goals in league matches. But alas, his time at Dundee was far from straightforward.
Twice in his early career, our man Lyall was sent packing - on loan, mind you - to Peterhead in the League One. First in October 2020, then again in July 2021. Between these stints, he returned briefly to Dundee, but the allure of the League One was apparently insatiable, and he departed Dundee once more for a loan spell at Montrose in February 2022, only to be recalled a few months later in June.
With his years of gallivanting around lower-league clubs finally behind him, Lyall returned full-time to Dundee for another successful three seasons. However, in July 2025, his time at Dundee came to an end; he was snatched up by Rangers for a fee of around £400k. Must be a wee bit of a silver lining to let him go for such a sum!
At Rangers, his stint was brief and he made only six first team appearances in league matches before he packed his bags again in January 2026. He set his compass to Aberdeen where he's on loan currently. In his current season at Aberdeen, he has gracelessly stumbled into contributing with two first team appearances in league matches. But we're not one for keeping scores, are we?
Nevertheless, footy isn't all about league matches. Our chap Lyall also had his one bit of a moment in the sun in the Scottish Cup 2025-2026 playing for Aberdeen, where he graced the pitch with a single start. Aye, not the most shining of records, but let's give the lad his due. Let's see what the future holds for our Lyall Cameron!
