Mark O'Hara, born in Scotland on 12 December 1995, is a midfielder who primarily plays central for St Mirren. Standing at a lanky 6ft 2in (1.88m) and tipping the scales at 12st 8lb (80kg), he dons the number 6 jersey for his team. O'Hara's career trajectory in the Scottish Premiership took off as a trainee at Kilmarnock in July 2012. During his debut season (2012-2013), he made 17 first-team appearances, netting one goal. His contribution however dwindled in the proceeding 2013 - 2014 season with 14 league matches to his name. O'Hara's involvement continued to increase over the following seasons, playing 18 and 29 league matches in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, respectively.
In July 2016, a transfer took O'Hara from Kilmarnock to Dundee, for an unspecified fee. His two seasons at Dundee were marked by consistent performances, delivering 28 and 32 appearances and scoring six and four goals in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons respectively.
O'Hara then found himself in England, transferring from Dundee to Peterborough United in League One in July 2018. His stint in England was short-lived, however, and included a loan spell at Lincoln City in January 2019, before he was loaned back to Scotland to Motherwell in September 2019.
Durning his loan at Motherwell, O'Hara made a significant impact with 17 appearances and a goal in the 2019-2020 season. This form carried over into the subsequent seasons, with the midfielder producing five goals from 27 games in the 2020-2021 season, and maintaining a regular spot with 19 appearances in the 2021-2022 season. This led to a permanent transfer to Motherwell in July 2020 for an undisclosed fee.
Following two more seasons at Motherwell, O'Hara made a move to St Mirren in the Premiership in July 2022. He has since blossomed, scoring a career-best ten goals from 35 appearances in the 2022-2023 season, and continuing with consistent performances in the following seasons, with 28 and 32 league appearances, scoring six and four goals, in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons respectively.
