Born on 22 January 2004 in Serbia, Marko Lazetić is a force to be reckoned with on the football field. Currently plying his trade at Aberdeen, he is primarily seen leading the attack as a striker. Physically imposing, he stands at 6ft 3in (1.92m) and weighs around 12st 8lb (80kg). He proudly wears the number 27 jersey. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be around £680k.
Marko Lazetić's football journey started in earnest in July 2018 when he signed for Red Star in the SuperLiga in his home country, Serbia. Over his stint at Red Star, he made a total of 15 first team appearances in league matches, netting one goal in the process. In February 2021, he moved to Grafičar in the Serbian First League on loan where he scored four goals in 14 appearances.
Upon completing his loan spell, Lazetić returned to Red Star in July 2021, retaining his earlier form and notching another single goal in 14 appearances in the league. In January 2022, he ventured beyond the Serbian boarder to join the Italian giants AC Milan for a significant fee of around £3.6m. His stint with the Rossoneri was short, though, culminating in a loan move to SCR Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga in February 2023 after making a single appearance for AC Milan.
He secured a decent run of games with SCR Altach, where he appeared 10 times. He completed his loan and returned to AC Milan in June 2023, only to be shipped off to Fortuna Sittard in the Eredivisie in Netherlands on another loan spell in August 2023. His impact here was limited as well, managing eight appearances. His travels continued when he was loaned to TSC in the SuperLiga in Serbia in July 2024 where he had a more substantial impact, scoring two goals in 32 appearances.
In August 2025, Lazetić finally found a permanent home at Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership after an undisclosed transfer from AC Milan. His influence in Scotland has been immediate. He has managed to find the back of the net four times in his 20 appearances in the league. He also represented the team in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 with one appearance as a substitute, and in the Conference League 2025 - 2026 with four starts and two more appearances coming from the bench.
