Matisse Didden (born 8 October 2001, age 24) is a Belgian central defender with FC Utrecht, where he wears squad number 3. At 6ft 6in (1.97m), he is an imposing presence, which is useful enough in a centre-half without needing much embroidery.
His senior career is centred firmly on Utrecht. Across three league seasons with the Dutch club, he has made 41 league appearances and scored 2 goals, with his most productive campaign coming in 2025-2026, when he scored twice in 24 league matches.
In 2026-2027, Didden has already been used across several fronts for Utrecht, with one Eredivisie appearance, one KNVB Beker appearance and four in the Europa League, giving him six appearances in all competitions for the season. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Didden remains an established professional whose career, so far, is largely a Utrecht story: a tall Belgian defender building his record in the Netherlands, with European minutes now part of the picture.
