Max Aarons (born 4 January 2000, age 26) is an English right-back whose career is still measured first against his long Norwich City spell. His current market value is around £3.5m, according to Transfermarkt, but the clearer guide to his profile is the volume of football he played at Carrow Road.
Norwich gave him the platform and the responsibility. Across five seasons he made 201 league appearances and scored five times, with 2018-19 his most productive league campaign: 41 appearances and two goals. For a young full-back, that was a proper grounding rather than a few development minutes dressed up as experience.
He is now at Rangers, where he has remained a regular first-team presence in 2025-26. He has made 19 league appearances and scored once, alongside two League Cup ties, one Scottish Cup appearance, five Champions League qualifiers and six Europa League matches. That is 33 appearances in all competitions, with his season generally solid, though there has been a slight dip lately.
Aarons is not a Celtic story, but he is a familiar enough opponent now. His career to this point has been shaped by heavy Norwich minutes, followed by a move on to Rangers, where he remains involved regularly rather than sitting on the edges.
