Born on 11 October 1994, Mikael Mandron is a French-born forward, primarily playing as a striker for St Mirren. Standing at a strapping 6ft 3in (1.91m) and weighing in at 12st 12lb (82kg), he can be readily identified on the field, donning the number 9 jersey.
Mandron's journey in football commenced as a trainee with Sunderland in the Premier League in July 2011. During his stint at Sunderland between 2012 and 2015, he made an impression with three first-team appearances in league matches.
In January 2014, Mandron was loaned to Fleetwood Town in League Two, where he had 11 first-team appearances and netted his first goal. A year later, he found himself loaned to Shrewsbury Town, making three appearances. A short-term loan spell at Hartlepool United followed in November 2015 with five first-team appearances in the National League.

Subsequent transfers saw him move from Colchester United to Gillingham, then briefly to Crewe Alexandra in August 2020, before returning to Gillingham where he found the net once from 23 appearances during the 2022-2023 season.
It was in January 2023 that Mandron landed in Scotland, transferring from Gillingham to Motherwell in the Premiership. In a half-season stint, he racked up one goal from ten appearances. In July 2023, Mandron transferred from Motherwell to St Mirren also in the Premiership. Since then, over two seasons he has made a significant impact; with 35 first-team appearances and eight goals in the 2023-2024 season, followed by 34 appearances and seven goals in the 2024-2025 season. His contribution to St Mirren is set to continue into the 2025-2026 season.
