Nilson Angulo, born on 19 June 2003 (age 22), is an Ecuadorian left winger now with Sunderland, where he wears the number 10 shirt. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Most of the substance in his career so far comes from Anderlecht. Across four seasons there he made 55 league appearances and scored eight league goals, with the 2025–26 campaign his most productive: six goals in 22 league matches. That is the spell that has given his career its shape, rather than anything especially long or settled elsewhere.
He moved on to Sunderland during the same 2025–26 season and made eight league appearances after leaving Anderlecht. He has also remained involved with Ecuador, with one World Cup appearance and four South American World Cup qualifying appearances this season.
Angulo is still a developing senior player, but his profile is already clear enough: an Ecuador international whose club career has been built chiefly at Anderlecht, with Sunderland now the next test.
