Roland Idowu, born 21st January 2002 (23 years old), hails from the Republic of Ireland. He is a central attacking midfielder for St Mirren, donning the number 7 jersey. Standing at 6ft tall (1.83m) and weighing 11st 11lb (75kg), he builds an imposing presence on the field.
In August 2021, Idowu made his way to the Rep. of Ireland's Premier Division by joining Bohemian FC. In the debut season itself, he managed to secure five first team appearances in league matches.
Within months, Idowu signed with Waterford in the Premier Division in Rep. Ireland in January 2022. As life would have it, he found himself shifting from the Irish Premier Division to the League Two in England in January 2024, playing for Shrewsbury Town. Shortly after, in July 2024, Idowu moved north to Scotland on loan, joining St Mirren in the Premiership.
In the 2024-2025 season with St Mirren, Idowu rose to prominence, tallying 31 first team appearances and scoring four goals in league matches. Forecasting his future at St Mirren, in the following year (season 2025 - 2026), Idowu is assumed to play an integral part in the team's strategy.
In July 2025, Shrewsbury Town in League Two England transferred Idowu to St Mirren in the Premierships of Scotland for an undisclosed fee. He has since established himself firmly in the squad, replaying the previous season's performance with 31 first team appearances and another four goals in the 2025-2026 season.
Furthermore, he has started to make his mark in cup competitions, appearing three times in the starting lineup and once as a substitute for the 2025-2026 League Cup with St Mirren. He further embellished his performance sheet by scoring a goal in the tournament.
