Tawanda Maswanhise, born on 20 November 2002 (age 23), is a Zimbabwe international winger whose senior career has become firmly tied to Motherwell. Primarily used from the left, he wears squad number 18 and has developed into one of their main attacking players rather than a fringe option passing through.
Across two league seasons with Motherwell, Maswanhise has made 62 appearances and scored 23 goals. The 2025-26 campaign has been his most productive, with 17 league goals in 32 matches, a return that explains why his profile has risen. His market value is around £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
His current season has not been built on league form alone. He has also scored four times in seven League Cup appearances and once in two Scottish Cup outings, taking his Motherwell total for the campaign to 43 appearances and 23 goals in all competitions. He has remained involved internationally too, featuring for Zimbabwe in seven African World Cup qualifiers and making two Africa Cup of Nations appearances, scoring once.
Maswanhise is still a regular first-team presence at Motherwell in 2025-26. At this stage, his career is defined less by movement between clubs than by the weight of his contribution at Fir Park, where his goals from wide areas have made him a significant part of the side.
