Tjark Ernst, born on 15 March 2003 (age 23), is a German goalkeeper with Feyenoord. A commanding 6ft 4in (1.93m), he wears the number 1 shirt and is valued at around £3.5m by Transfermarkt.
His career has been shaped above all by Hertha BSC. Across four seasons there, Ernst made 88 league appearances, giving him the kind of senior grounding young goalkeepers do not always get quickly. That Hertha spell remains the substantial part of his record, rather than a passing entry on the CV.
He moved on to Feyenoord, where his 2026-27 season has included seven Eredivisie appearances and one Champions League outing, with nine appearances in all competitions for the club. He has also made one appearance in UEFA Under-21 qualifying.
Ernst was linked with a move to Celtic in June 2026. For now, his career is still centred on the progression from Hertha to Feyenoord: a German goalkeeper with a solid body of senior league football behind him and a current role in the Netherlands.
