Tunmise Sobowale, born on the 19th of March in 1999, hails from the Republic of Ireland. He is a 26 year old defender who primarily aligns himself as a right back for St Mirren. Sobowale started his professional journey in Spain with Hércules CF, playing in their Second Division B/1 before he transferred to the Irish Finn Harps in July 2018. The next season in 2021, he again donned his boots for Waterford, this time making 10 appearances in league matches. The solid performances caught the attentions of Shrewsbury Town, who in July 2023, brought him to play in England's League Two for an undisclosed fee.
After a year at Shrewsbury Town, Sobowale was on the move again, transferring to Swindon Town also in League Two by July 2024. His promising performances did not go unnoticed and in July 2025, he made the move up North to Scotland, signing for St Mirren in the Premiership, again for an undisclosed fee.
As it stands, Sobowale will be thundering down the right flank for St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership for the 2025 - 2026 season. It remains to be seen what the future holds for this journeyman defender.
