İn July 2018, Şimşir joined FC Midtjylland in Denmark's Superliga as a trainee. During his debut season of 2019 - 2020, the Danish forward had the chance to make a single first team appearance. This trend seemed to continue into the 2021 - 2022 season as well, where once again, Şimşir had a single first team appearance. However, from the 2022 - 2023 season onwards, Şimşir made an impressive leap in progress, with 15 first team appearances and two goals. This was followed by further participation and contribution in the following seasons, culminating in the current 2025 - 2026 season, where he has so far made 13 first team appearances and scored three goals.
In a brief stint away from FC Midtjylland, Şimşir transferred to Jerv in Norway's 2. Division in March 2022 on a loan. During this season, he made 20 first team appearances and scored three goals. Subsequently, in August of the same year, he was loaned to Lillestrom in the OBOS-ligaen, also in Norway, making six first team appearances during his time there.
January 2023 saw Şimşir return to his original team, FC Midtjylland, upon the completion of his loan. Since then, he has made a commendable contribution in league matches, particularly in the 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025 seasons, where he made 25 and 23 first team appearances respectively, with a total of seven goals.
Apart from domestic league games, Şimşir also carved a niche for himself in Europe. He played a part in the Europa League Qualifiers for the 2025 - 2026 season for FC Midtjylland, scoring two goals in five starts and one appearance as a substitute. His contribution continued in the Europa League 2025 - 2026 as well, with one start and two appearances as a substitute.
