Josh Mulligan, born on 12 November 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish centre midfielder now with Hibernian, but his senior career is still shaped mainly by Dundee. Early loan football gave him the usual rough edges and minutes away from the comfort of a parent club, but it was at Dens Park that he became a proper first-team player.
Across five seasons with Dundee, Mulligan made 95 league appearances and scored five league goals. His most productive league campaign came in 2021-22, when he scored two goals in 11 appearances, though his value there was never really about headline numbers. Dundee gave him his platform, his workload, and most of his senior education.
At Hibernian in 2025-26, he has remained a regular presence. He has made 24 league appearances with one league goal, plus outings in the Scottish Cup, Europa League qualifying and Conference League qualifying, taking him to 31 appearances and two goals in all competitions for the club. His current market value is around £1.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
He was linked with Celtic in December 2025 while at Hibernian. For now, Mulligan’s career is best read as a Dundee-developed midfielder who has carried that experience into a continuing role at Easter Road.
