Martin Boyle, born on 25 April 1993 (age 33), is an Australian right winger whose career has been shaped far more by Hibernian than by anywhere else. He wears the number 10 at Easter Road and remains a regular first-team player in 2025-26, which says plenty about his staying power.
His early development included a highly productive loan spell at Montrose in 2011-12, when he scored 22 league goals in 36 appearances. That season stands as his best league return, and it gave him the sort of senior grounding young forwards either use or waste. Boyle used it.
Hibernian has been the main story since. Across 12 seasons he has made 316 league appearances and scored 82 league goals for the club, with a Scottish Cup win also part of that long spell. He has never been a decorative wide player; his value has usually been more direct than subtle, built on pace, running power and a habit of turning promising positions into something more awkward for defenders.
In 2025-26, Boyle has remained firmly involved for Hibernian, with 33 league appearances and seven league goals. Across all competitions for the club he has made 42 appearances and scored 10 times, including three goals in Conference League qualifying. His form has been solid and consistent rather than spectacular, which is often enough for a player who still carries responsibility in the side.
He has also stayed active internationally, making seven appearances for Australia in Asian World Cup qualifying this season and scoring twice. Overall, Boyleโs career is a Hibernian career above all: long-serving, productive, and still relevant rather than merely remembered.
