Born in the town of Kirkcaldy, Fife in 1883 the Raith Rovers Football Club has been a fixture of Scottish football for over a century. They currently hold court at Stark's Park, a ground embedded in the town and the lives of those who have passed through it.
The squad, a balance of eager youth and seasoned experience with an average age of 27, totals 19 players. Each one dedicated to the black and white stripes they wear and the team moniker they rally under.
As for the current season, Raith Rovers have been quite the busy bees, making their presence felt in not one, not two, but four different fronts. In the Scottish Championship, they sit 5th, a respectable place within the league brimming with a mixture of Metropolitans, Mariners, and Football Daft patrons. The League Cup saw them challenge in Group F, a tight-knit circle of battle-hardened clubs.
The Scottish Cup, always an occasion of excited anticipation, where Raith managed to dance all the way to the Fourth Round. Finally, the Challenge Cup, where their determination and spirit pushed them all the way through to the Final. All in all, a varied and thrilling season for those whose allegiance lets their heart beat in black and white.
